My name is Sylvain Bruni, and I’m running for Johnson City Commissioner because our city is growing, but too many residents are being asked to pay the price without having enough say in what comes next.

We need a Johnson City we can afford. Housing costs are climbing, and groceries, childcare, healthcare, and taxes are putting more pressure on families. We need to protect our neighborhoods. Growth should make our community stronger, not leave residents dealing with the noise, traffic, surveillance, and other consequences of decisions they did not help make. And we need accountability at City Hall. When millions of taxpayer dollars are at stake, residents deserve transparency, responsible decisions, and a real voice before those decisions are made.

I’m running to bring change you can see to the City Commission: making Johnson City more affordable, protecting our neighborhoods, and rebuilding trust in local government. It’s time for a City Commission that listens, plans ahead, and puts people first.
